*My wonderful wife Lesa wrote this lyric completely on her own---I didn't change a word. It was originally written as part of a Christmas musical that never came to be. Our song-plugger first pitched the song to Larnelle Harris, who put it on hold (indicating a strong possibility of his recording it but not obligating him to do so). We were very disappointed when the song was bumped off the project, as I had been a Larnelle fan for a long time. Our disappointment turned to elation when Sandi Patty ended up recording it on her "Another Time, Another Place" album.

*I had a very strange sensation upon hearing her version of the song the first time. Writer friend Billy Simon had helped me do the demo of the song and I sang the vocal. I never was a great singer. So it was extremely weird to hear her, an absolutely fabulous singer who had obviously listened to the demo many times in order to learn the song, mimicking some of my vocal moves---hahaha!!! I probably don't need to mention that she did them MUCH better than I.

*Most of the time when someone else records a song you wrote, it's not completely what you expected---sometimes worse, sometimes better, but rarely exactly what you really wanted from the song. This was one of the exceptions---the interpretation was perfect. Lesa and I both loved it.
